I just recently had a major computer problem, which turns out to have been a bad memory chip. Now as many of you know, windows always blames the video card, never the true problem. So I used a special program to find the problem. I thought I would share with you the two boot cds I use for repairing computers, including my own
Hiren's BootCD 8 - http://www.9down.com/downloads.php?fileid=309 - this has alot of utilities to test and repair almost every asset of your computer. And since it is a boot cd, you can use it when windows is acting up (such as when I had a corrupt boot sector that it was able to fix)
Knoppix STD - http://s-t-d.org/ - It is a live boot linux operating system. this version has many tools for finding security valunerabilities and fixing them. This is useful when you need to reinstall Windows and can not get in to backup your files. And it works with NTFS. _________________ http://www.barbertonrhps.com - The offical Website for Barberton's West Theater Rocky Horror Picture Show in Ohio
