Custom Map night was a failure IMHO

Well, the custom map night didnt go too well IMHO. Nobody seems to have figured out the maps ahead of time so one team seemed to dominate another half the time. The Ville rules seemed to be tossed out the window by have the players that are not regulars and I was not pleased with pretty much all of it.

I think thats the last custom map night for me, I used to do them for fun for everyone but that just doesnt seem to be the case anymore.

Well, I thought it went ok. There were a couple of lame people using the NTF stuff even after being asked several times not to. And the new maps were a fun change. blah

Awwwwwww.........but they are so fun, and you get to try out new maps.

I tried all night to get on, but it was always full and at one stage ( on 3drylakes) only 7 people were playing, and the rest were dl.

heh i wish i was there most of the time.... dling maps suck... i wish i could of dled them ahaed of time instead of waiting while you guys are having fun

JD nothing against you or any other admin personally, but I think you guys could have made this work a lot better...

1. Password the server like it said it would be so only us could get in

2. You can't put ntf on a server then get mad when you have to yell every 5 seconds cause people are using it... if you dont want it, take it off or run custommap night on a non ntf server.

3. Tell god to kindy not erase all my controls 2 minutes before the game starts.

JD, you are the wrongiest wrong wrong to ever wrong the earth. The reason i'm not making sense is cuz i just had about 120 bottles of Jack Daniel's in the bar in breakfastonia. We had soo much fun! of course you and all the other admins were gone, but we had so much fun! With the dealing of crack, and the crazy club with the crazy dance music and the pyrotechnics and the lasers! Then there were the public rapings in the jail cells (if you weren't there you don't want to know). Plus we had the occasional bar brawl, so the coppas had to stop the mobsters before they killed the civies. It was fun! It's so fun to just screw around on breakfastonia.

I agree about the password, but I think other than that, it was a good time. I did notice LOTS of NON-Ville players, and it detracted greatly from the fun of it. The best times I had were on DryLakes when it was almost all regs.

We had some fun on Breakfastonia (until some guy started being an @sshole and killin people that just wanted to have fun)

Um, I think that in the future we should still have Custom Map night (I called off work for this!) because I know I at least look forward to them. I think that the previous measures that had been taken to ensure regs should have been taken.

Ah well, hopefully there IS a next time.

HEHE it was a blast I came back at the end and runing around and dancing under the lazer light was fun. that is one weird map!

Damn, I tried logging on a couple of times but it was full. I was surprised to see it wasn't passworded. I can bet that was the problem right there. That will teach you JD! Never run a fun night open to the public. It just isn't as fun with nobodies running around and ruining it for everyone. It is always better when you have a bunch of crazy TVBers running around yelling "FIRE FIRE MUAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!"

Peeks around corner. . . I left becuase I was tired of being spawn camped. . .I asked several times for the people to stop. They did not. I didn't say anything after that, I just left. It was a great idea and I did have a lot of fun until that point. They were some very cool maps JD and I hope you play them again! THX!
