mostly it requires a fairly active IRC channel or something similar. most scrims, (at least when i was involved), are found on IRC on servers like gamesnet where people go to shout out lovely things like "8v8 ANZIO CAL-I YOUR SERVER KTHX GG"
do you guys already have an irc channel for the ville that gets idled by a lot of folks? if so that's awesome and i wanna know what it is if not, i think that would be a good place to start. plus it'd be fun. |

i think that this scrimage idea would be really really awesome...the draft format seems the most fair...lets start signing up people for the scrimage and drafting.
we should probably pick captains or something of the sort

I was a captain of Section 8 in the last one. We came so close to winning that I wasn't even sure that we lost.

The Ville and its servers are based on fun and as you know are pub servers. The Ville servers and forums have not supported competitive gaming in the past and as far as I know will not in the future.
Now this is not saying you can't compete there's no problem with that at all and some have, just not on the ville forums or servers. If you are interested in competitive gaming there are leagues you can join such as CAL and others. What you will need is allot of time and practice but there are different levels in most leagues. You will also need your own server for matches and of course practice. The ville servers will not be used for competitive practices or matches. If you need some links to these leagues or for server rentals let me know and I will post them for you.
Now if you’re just looking for some FUN organized competition we do have that on occasion here at the Ville but it’s a complete different format then the leagues. There have been many over the years here at the Ville and there will be more to come, these events are as close as we get to organized competition at the ville, hope this helps.
