I guess the refs helped with the drop passes also? Maybe Jeremy stephens should shut his mouth and just catch the ball. Nfl leading rusher held under 100 yards that was the refs fault also. Alsoo the refs helped seattle with the clock management.... Wow 4 mins to go and seattle just walks around like they had all the time in the world,, thats bad coaching _________________

lol D.B. good stuff.
i agree, there were some bad calls. the steelers got bad calls all season, just look at the indy game and polamalus interception. bad calls are part of the game. i personally would have like to have a controversy free win, but thats just the way it goes nowdays. _________________

It will never happen Philly went through the same thing last year. There was so much holding in the defensive backfield it was n't even funny, but you know them Pat's get away with it all the time. Every game I have seen of there's thats all the announcers talk about....lol Damn thoughs ref's. _________________ <eVa>Simpleman-V$=<RIP> |

For the record, I could care less about either of these teams...so dont go assuming im a Seattle fan because im not! My point was strictly for the fact that as a football fan I thought the refs were horrible in that game. Im not defending the bad plays from either side, its merely an observation I made. and Shovel what you said is exactly what im bummed out about...that "bad calls are just part of game" I think it sucks for the players and the fans that they wont try to find a solution and we just have to accept it this way. guess we'll have to wait and see next season...
oh and DB, congrats to your Steelers but if you're gonna name names and drop how bad of a game Stephens had(which is true), I'd like to mention what a "major" impact Porter had in the game. should've spent half as much time watching tapes as he did bickering with Stephens.
and on that note, Texans & Saints next years Super Bowl! [/u] _________________

Also the 2 missed fg's by the seattle kicker. It was a poorly played game by both teams. But the steelers made the plays when they had to. In the indy game pittsburgh could of given up after the no interception call, but as a good team will they over came the bad call,Seattle just couldn't. The clock management by seattle at the end of the half and game was horrible. This was a very emotional game for me ,since my best friend who i have known for 28 of my 36 years past away in june. He was a big steelers fan as i am. I missed talking to him after every steelers game. Went to his grave sunday morning . Just kinda hard right now i feel like something is missing just not the same without him here to celebrate..
That game was for u my friend, you got the one for the thumb Jay. I miss u brother. I know you are swinging that terrible towel in heaven. _________________

Optik didnt say u was a seattle fan. Porter did have an impact in the game, in got into Stephens head thats all it took. Also troy didnt play good either, but the 9 other guys stepped it up. Thats why its a Team sport. I think that the only guy who had a good game was Hasslebeck, to bad nobody could catch the ball, kinda is what happened to them last year with all the drops...... _________________

the worst call was the "illegal block" that hasslebeck had when he went to tackle the guy that intercepted him. i mean a lot of the others yeah i saw some pass inteferance and yeah there is always holding. that call technically wasn't possible but it still got tacked on.
funny how this stat makes this game seem like a miracle.
22 and a half...
no its not Ben Roethlisberger's age.. but his QB rathing.. yowzas good things he got a few good ones. _________________ |
