Hard to say if its a hardware issue or if windows just had a moment. I have had Source be running fine, freeze and then the machine hang. Pressing keystokes would just cause the system to beep, after a restart things would be fine though so I pretty much wrote it off to windows or steam/source causing problems.
If it continues to happen, well then it may take some work to troubleshoot but hopefully you wont see too many more issues.

If it happens again check the steam forums im sure someone else will have the same problem as you. It's probably just a DoD crash. _________________

you may want to check your video drivers for an update, and make sure your heatsinks are clean. It could be getting hot. _________________

Beeping? As in MB Bios type?
Maybe an overheating condition, or a power supply problem? _________________ Your suffering will be legendary, even in hell.

Nope that doesn't make a difference, but it could be that it is not slaved right or it's not connected in the right order. Make sure your 2nd HD is not before the primary and that it has been formatted correctly. _________________ <eVa>Simpleman-V$=<RIP> |
