Well......
You can purchase an OEM Version of McAfee from most computer stores for about $10 Cdn, thats what I recently did. I got tired of Norton as it was a pig.
If not, you can look at a free one called AVG from Grissoft, its pretty good.
Heres the linky. http://free.grisoft.com/doc/1 _________________

Im all for the free scanners but I think thats sorta like closing the barn door after the goat has escaped.
I would rather have something running and activly scanning, but a free scanner done on a regular basis is better than nothing.
Actually, Besides Trendmicros housecall I think Symantac and Mcafee and several others also have free online scans.
Also, most of the vendors allow you do download their software and run it on a trial basis for 15-30 days, so that might be useful too.

I never use anti-virus software. They're more annoying than the viruses. Just watch what you do and do regular scans with spybot type software and you'll be fine. |

I dumped Norton at work and switch the whole company to Trend Micro - I have had zero problems - at home I use AVG, Windows Spyware beta and Windows firewall. Keeps me clean and running. I do like the PCilin from Trend Micro too - all the sales guys have it on there laptops - and you sales guys get lonely on the road and surf porn |
