Strange... this never happened before.
I have my desktop set to 1280x1024 on my 17" monitor. Up until I installed my new CPU, if I had a game set to 1024x768 it would stretch and fit to fill the entire screen. But now it stays really small in the middle of the screen and hangs off the side a little bit. I have an ati x850 pro with the catalyst 5.13 drivers. Was it right before or now?
UPDATE: EWW I just found that if I make my desktop 1024x768 it looks all screwed up like the game does. This is very strange...
Does anyone know what could cause this? It didn't do this before I installed my CPU. _________________

Yea everything is great. Just 1024x768 doesn't stretch to fit the screen. _________________

Hmm well I decided to reinstall my graphics drivers and it was fine on 1024x768 until I tried it on 1280x1024 then switched back to 1024x768. Now it looks like it did before. Must be an issue with the drivers. _________________

That's what I was betting on. Your motherboard may need a bios update for the new cpu also. _________________ <eVa>Bleeding Tomato-III$

Try running it in a window . I have had mine do that as well. Also make sure in the ATI manager that you have it set to run the same screen size as desktop. There is setting for it. If it's not set it will default to the smaller size. hope this helps. _________________ <eVa>Simpleman-V$=<RIP> |

Yeah it's called the catalyst control center. It should come with the driver or I should say they have it set as a package. It's a really cool program that allows you to set everything all the way up to over clocking it . _________________ <eVa>Simpleman-V$=<RIP> |

Hmm so I found out that this may be a monitor driver problem! This is the monitor from my old HP computer. I downloaded the monitor drivers for my OS but it didn't fix anything. That would explain a lot though cuz it did this after I formatted with XP media center edition and now with xp 64-bit. OY! I hated this monitor before, not I hate it more.... _________________
