Have to say Hell is for Heroes(Steve McQueen,Fess Parker,James Colburn,Charles Bronson,Bob Newhart). Also like Saving Private Ryan.

Ah, theres so many. Pretty much everything thats been mentioned already. a bridge to far, battle of britain, green bereit, saving private ryan,band of brothers,hell is for heros, tuskeetie airmen, twelve oclock high is alright,das boat english version,memphis bell.. i know im leaving some out but those are some of my fav's.

a) 19th century=1800's.
b) Band of Brothers and the Patriot are the best.
c) Saving Private Ryan is really the best, it's just no other movie is worthy of being mentioned in the same sentence. Except for Band of Brothers, but that is a mini-series. So best moovie is SPR. Best other stuff is BoB. And Enemy At the Gates is good too. I also like Tigerland, thats a good one.

The great thing about alot of the old movies is that they are on film and when delivered to the customer through a HD channel they look great!
