|
|
I shared this with the players on the ville iv not too long ago and people seemed to like the sound... so i decided to share with the entire ville community...
its essentially a chili over rice dinner...
1 cup white rice
1/2 lb ground beef
1 can diced tomatoes
1 can bush's baked beans
1 package lawry's taco seasoning
lil bit of b-b-que sauce if you want it sweeter...
shredded cheese
in a sauce pan boil up the white rice, stir occassionally so it doesnt stick too much
in another pan, well i used a spaghetti pot....
- brown the ground beef
- once completely browned, add taco seasoning to beef and stir
- after the seasoning is completely mixed in, open the tomatoes, drain them, then add to beef
- if the beans have water on top, drain them, then mix with beef/tomato mixture
- stir the beef/tomato/bean mixture and let simmer
- finish the rice
- taste the beef mix, add b-b-que sauce if you like...
once the rice is done and the beef mix has simmered for a lil bit, turn the stove tops off... in a bowl, add rice first, then add the beefmix on top... stir together and you have a killer sweet chili... i like cheese in my chili so i threw in some shredded cheese too... oh man was that good... =)
that was enough for at least 3 meals for me (and im no small kid)... dinner tonight, lunch tomorrow, and probably lunch wednesday... i would suggest going to a pound of beef if serving for a family or if you just like leftovers... |

welcome to the forums man!
and lemme jsut say that sounds okay. but i prefer a hotter chilie to a sweet one. my mom makes a real nice one with lentils instead of kidney beans and she buys a chipotle/crushed tomatoe mix. works out well i msut say. mixed with some rice and cheese wow.
and another cooking tip for people on tv4. prime yer nades because i loooove to throw them back. ask frosty about this one. heh _________________ |

good way to join the forums, share a recipe... I think this should be a prerequisite that all new members must do.... anyone else agree? _________________
