No sweat off of my asstrobueler. Most people do go alliance thinking it is easier. I know of a lot of peeps that have switched over and said Horde is easier but that is all based on their opinion and they are probably biased.
It seems we have close to an even split of men and women that play in our guild. We use both Ventrillo and Team Speak and I hear quite a few ladies jumpin in. I usually go questing with a good friend of mine who is a level 60 priest and just happens to be a woman. We both have alts that have been brought up together.
Silver, our group is not what is considered a high level group. Molten Core is a level 60 instance that requires 40 players just to stand a chance. I have been a part of a couple of raids there but just not with my own guild yet. We are building up enough 60's to get there and that should be in the next month or so. Our guild is more about helping lower levels getting started and understanding the game as they are leveling and questing. The thought behind it is eventually everyone in the guild will be level 60 and will also have a very close relationship with others in the guild as they will have spent some time coming thru the ranks to get to 60.
Right now we have around 50 level 60's but getting everyone on at the same time is a chore, kinda like planned events here . We have a lot of 40's and 50's in the guild too so once we get them high enough we will start with scheduled MC runs. _________________

I've never been a big fan of RPGs myself, I like sports and FPSs. One thing that probably took my attention completely away from RPG's was the monthly fees. You have to go out and pay $50-60 for a game, but then turn around and pay $5+ a month to play. This making the game cost a lot higher. If you have the money to spend, then I guess this isn't a bad thing. If DOD:S would ever go to that (although it never will) I would probably stop playing it. Guild Wars doesn't have a monthly fee so I've heard so if i were to choose one of those games, it would be the one. Just remember that I've never played any of these games, just shouting my two cents. |

I'm a dwarf priest.
On Alliance priests can be Night Elves, Dwarves, or Humans. The only difference is their racial abilities.
Alliance Priest Racials:
* Desperate Prayer (Level 10). (Dwarf/Human only.)
Instant cast 30 min cooldown
Instantly heals the caster for 134 to 170. (1324 to 1562 at lvl 50)
* Starshards (Level 10). (Night Elf only.)
Rains starshards down on the enemy target's head, causing 72 Arcane damage over 4 sec.
(798 Arcane damage over 6 sec. at level 50)
* Fear Ward (Level 20). (Dwarf only.)
Wards the friendly target against fear. The next fear effect used against the target will fail, using up the ward. Lasts 10 minutes. (can be dispelled)
* Feedback (Level 20). (Human only.)
Enchants the Priest's weapon to cause feedback on enemy targets. Each hit has a chance of draining 18 mana from the target. For each mana drained in this way, the target takes 1 damage. (105 mana at level 60)
* Elune's Grace (Level 20). (Night Elf only.)
Reduces ranged damage taken by 7 for 3 minutes. (29 at lvl 60)
Its really up to you. Yes that fear ward the dwarf has does come in handy on some high end bosses who fear. It also is very useful against other classes that can fear. Warlocks, shouts from warriors and other priests.
All Night Elves regardless of class have a spell called shadowmeld. They can go stealth/invisible while in place. if they move they are visible but it is a great spell that I wish I had. hehe
But really.. pick what makes you happy and you will be fine. Priests are always wanted and needed due to their healing. I would just make what you enjoy. If you are not pleased with the way you look in the game you wont be happy with it.
Also, not sure if you read this yet but most priests stay shadow spec until high level. This is because its very easy to solo level as shadow due to the increased damage (Up to over 40% or so), stuns, better fear, dots (damage over time), etc. You can still heal, and will be invited to every group because you are a priest. Most priests (including me) was shadow until I was level 60. Then I respeced to the way I wanted to be. Most of course love the damage and like to pvp and stay shadow even at 60. Its all up to your play style. I ended up changing because I made my priest for groups and support. I like to heal, I wanted to be the best at it. So I changed my tree specialization to reflect that.
I know the priest very well and can help you in any way if you decide to go with the class. _________________

Ahh Im going to make an alt on your server later. So i'll look you up sometime.
MC is very rewarding. You are going to love it. For those who are wondering its a dungeon called Molten Core. Its a high dungeon for up to 40 people. Very challenging, and you need good communication and teamwork. The rewards are epic items from the bosses within.
Im sure Frag and I can give you guys advice on some MC bosses etc if you ever need it. We been there a ton of times now. hehe _________________

ok here is my 2 cents.
COH - fun at the begining, the instance zones are the same through out. So the task force take to long to do and are exactly the same, burn out factor around mid way through your leveling process. lvl 30 something healer been a while since I played.
EQ. - Was great in the day has fallen off the deep end as of late, they are adding a lot of new features to bring the game back, but just seems like a dying breed, plus who wants to start a new toon and grind all the way up to 70 again. and do all the flagging to POT and beyond. 68 sk and 68 shaman, 70 enc, 65 priest, and 60 druid. everything else below 40.
wow - Since everything is quest you don't feel like your grinding until your mid 40's and usually stops and becomes fun again around 50. The game foucses alot on PVP. Not being a PVP fan myself, there are some draw backs but nothing I can't work around. and sometimes you just have to do it. The end game is kind of boreing not enough content. Also I'm bored with my hunter so I started a shaman. I'm still currently playing wow. 60 hunter and I have a 45 shammy. I also have one of each other character but all below 30.
guildwars - Tried it but couldn't get into it at all.
SWG - Waste of time and money. Light speed expansion but some fun into it but once again felt like I was grinding. got boreing fast. don't remeber what lvl I was. But I do know a couple people who play and swear by the game.
eq2 - Fun at first, tradeskill side of game is good, but felt like I was grinding lost its fun factor around lvl 30. lvl 30 priest and lvl 25 mage |

Kahl be a dwarf or a gnome (they get to ride the robo chicken polluter)...don't be an elf...im an elf and it was a huge mistake...the elf story line is so dull until you get over to Iron Forge or Stormwind. Also the way i look at it is its a fantasy game so you don't need to be human =)

I am starting to become Anti-WoW. But, the funny thing is, it is not for the reasons you would think.
It's beacuse it's like taking over some of my friends lives. It's like "Hey man, would you like to go to the movies?" They reply "I would, but I have this WoW thing tonight" Or "Were going to play WoW for 5 hrs straight, so we cannot make it" Or they cancel an engadgement because a WoW event came up.
So I am thinking ugh you losers get out once in awhile, get a tan, meet some people who are not hundreds of miles away on another screen. It just seems sad to me lol
heh, ok my rant is done _________________

We are currently getting everyone attuned for MC. I am also going thru and power leveling some peeps that have characters we need to help out for that instance.
If/when you do start an alt then message/mail me and I will get you added. My 2 mains are either Vegassparky (60 rogue) or Vegasshammy (11 Shaman). Those are the ones that have access to add you to the guilds and the ones I am playing mostly. If you send anything I will see it with one of those first.
I can understand your feelings Rebel. I sometimes loose (heh) track of the time when playing as it is not hard to do. I do not plan my life around the game though. I think that is going a little overbored. It is a very involved game but dropping everything because of it seems a bit excessive _________________

I quit WoW after 3 months of playing it. I got to level 55 and the only thing I could really do, or look forward to was raiding dungeons to get better loot. I didn't really want to spend 4 or 5 hours straight to maybe get a chance at a good item.
It was really fun for me until then.
There is a new MMOG coming out called Dark and Light. There is a free version of it coming out in November called SoG, which you can play for free until the release of DnL, which won't be until April of next year at best. It seems like the PvP is actually worth doing (you get to actually take and defend territory). Check it out at www.darkandlight.net _________________ "Live forever through fire." |

Ragnaros is on a farming status for us now
We are in the process of learning BWL, but we only downed one boss so far. We need to improve our fire resist gears to go further it seems...
I really enjoy WoW. There was a time, after I hit 60, where I was a little bored with the game, but then I started running high instances, which was more fun, and when the patch with Battleground appeared, it made wow a very nice game.
However, forget about your social life if you go to high end contents _________________ PJ --- ancient IDIOT with a rusty CROWBAR....
