hey guys, im not wondering about ping but is there sumthin wrong with steam showing pings for servers.... becuz like for the ville 4 it says theres a ping of like 80's and like low 90's but wen i get on i have like a 140 or higher ping???? i dunno im not running anything at all so ya if u could help me....thanx _________________

Well the ping shown in the server browser is just the ping, while the number shown in game is latency, which factors in other things like FPS. _________________

im not techie but my guess would be, you cpu can push the card at 80ms when your not in game, and the added weight from in game variables your cpu is lagging the card, it can't ping the server cleanly. |

Actually, ping has nothing to do with your video card, it is just the time it takes to send a packet to and from the server. Latency is the number that factors in hardware and stuff. That's what I hear anyway... _________________
