Had lots of fun playing DOD on TVII, but I ended up getting kicked for 'camping'. I tried reseting my position, but when I came back to my camp spot I got the boot anyway. I was playing as an Allied Machine Gunner at the time and with the machine gun deployed, it is impossible to move around. I think camping is a valid tactic in DOD, and pretty much required since you have to be stationary to get any acuracy with the big guns.
So, is there any possiblity of removing the camper detection plugin? It's really hurting the gameplay IMO.

I agree...having the camping thing on TFC is understandable, but on DOD, it's almost necessary to camp (at least with some classes).

If you dont want to die you must camp
Totaly different set up. Respawn camping becomes a high kill rate item too.
I can see where snipes are going to rule in these maps! To bad for us charge into the teeth of it type peeps.
Can the reinforcement to respawn times be adjusted to a 4 second or so interval?

Please do remove the camping module from TV2. I found a great place for the MG and had to move because of camping warnings. Same when I was sniping at one point, I had 6 in a row and no Allies could find me and then I got the camping warning. I got 5 more before I had to move because of last warning. I was playing under a different name so it was going to kick me |

I fully agree. Snipers and machine gunners must camp. It's just not very effective to run and shoot with either of those classes. Although I do it from time to time!

The only crappy thing abour DoD is that cheap ass german sniper rifle. We used a semi-auto sniper rifle in WWII in small numbers but the damn Germans get a semi-auto sniper rifle which they also used in small numbers. Most German sniper rifles were mauser type bolt action with a scope.Anyway hehe DOD will be even better next update
