I've been playing as <TVB>GuinnessGunner and Cpt. McKew on Monk's servers. I thought it was more appropriate for the mod, maybe I'm getting into the feel of things more that way with a more appropriate name for a WWII environment.

Ok now I need a little help. It seems so stupid, but I cannot figure out how to get on a server. Doesn't it work like TFC? I type in a map name, press update, and nothing happens. It says at the bottom of the screen: Finished recieving list from some IP address, transferring... and it just sits there. It did say something about not finding some dlls when I installed it, but I'm not sure what that means.

You shouldn't be getting any error messages if you installed it correctly. Make sure you select the correct directory to install it in ie. H:SIERRAHalf-Life when you run the executable file.

Choose to have a short-cut created for you. That'll make things easier when you start the game up. If not, I think adding in

H:SIERRAHalf-Lifehl.exe -game dod

in your shortcut might do the trick.
From there just do a filter on servers running DoD and you should get a decent listing.

Snag, I straddle between Monks, Sirion, and Dawg House under the alias MajorPayne. Still get gunned down while admiring the awesome graphics... maybe one day I'll break even on the scores!

I reinstalled it Munkey and it still gave me the error message Cannot Find MSVBVM60.DLL. It is currently installed under C:sierrahalf-lifedod. I did have the shortcut placed on my desktop. When I try to find a server it still doesn't do anything. I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong.

LOL!!!!!! Well, I have T3, it took me only like 23 min to download. Would've been a lot faster if the server has the same bandwidth. It took me like 9 min to download full CS patch.

o btw, Firearms looks really cool too. It's just kind of complicated. With DoD I was playing till 4 in the morning. It's so realistic in terms of environment and atmosphere. But the weapon is kind of sucky. It also hard to rack up a lot of kills. But I say it's still a very cool mod.

Chen make sure you check your filters. Set them on DOD.

Rob, giving another mod a chance is very cool of you. I like the idea of having a "little" diversity and what better place to play new mods than TheVille! Thx much!

I checked and I do have my filter as dod. I also have tried to quick start which should find a fast server for you, but right after I clikced on it, it said something like Cannot connect to server. Reason:Cannot complete connection attempt.
