Heres some good info all should know about obtaining DOD:S

clicky ---> DoD:S and the retail (store bought) version of HL2. HOW TO PURCHASE DoD:S

kind of blows for those of us who wanted to actually own hard copies of the game as opposed to buying it online.

My HL2 is store bought and it came with CS:Source for free so I'm pissed that I have to buy CS:Source to get DOD:Source, but you gotta do what you gotta do I guess.

(I'm not buying over steam because I hate steam.)

so, dumb question, if you can preload it on sept 9, what do you have to do to do that? I already have the HL2 silver package via steam, and it recognizes that fact... now how do I get it to pre load?

They said it would be available for pre-load next week. If you look at your play games list, there will probably be an option to pre-load it.

the best way to do it was they should made a way where u buy dod source jsut like regular dod and then it comes with hl2 jsut like normal dod came with half life and then u dont have to buy half life 2 and u should be able to get cs source just like before!
