DoD unplayable!!

Ok guys, when ever i try to play DoD with you all, my computer skips (visually) tremendously! I dont understand it, as I have a 1.4 (overclocked +about 300mhz) processor, 180gb HD, nVidia 5900, LanParty NFB Ultra II motherboard, 1024 mushkin ram etc etc!!! I can play Doom 3 with medium graphics perfectly fine, World of Warcraft with high everything with no skipping, Far Cry no skip, Battlefield 2 no skip, and lots more!

Anyone have any idea what this could be?? its only with DoD!

Well this happend to me once a while back, open steam go to settings and check the internet tab mine was re set to 28.8 for some reason and I was skipping all over. Needs to be set to DSL or T1. Its a reach but it happens.

Yeah, it might be your connection setting. Also check your video settings and make sure you are in OpenGL.

Also it couldnt hurt to find a higher-rated AXP, or a high socket A sempr0n. I used to play with a T-bird at 1.33, and I really noticed the difference with just a cpu upgrade to a 2GHz-clocked tbredB.
