Just curious anyone here a good dod mapper.. or at the least decent?
I'm curious because I have a few map designs that i'd really like to see get done, but thus far havent found anyone able or willing to do them. _________________

Go to www.dayofdefeat.net/forums/index.php There is a forum on mapping. I know there are a lot of good mappers that will answer your questions and help out. _________________ "Live forever through fire." |

First off thanks for the link. But to be honest the last thing i need is another forum to sign up for. I'm already pretty actively involved in 3 others besides this one, two of which im a moderator of. If i cant get ne one from the ville to be able to do the whole mapola thing then i guess ill give it a shot
thx again _________________

finding someone who will be willing to make maps for you will be hard.
i did it for Natural selection before. it takes a LOT of time to make a map. it's not something you trow togheter in a couple of weeks.
your best shot is to do it yourself, if you have a lot of free time and the courage to learn. _________________ PROUD TO BE A MEMBER OF =US-V= & VILLE $UPPORTER |

Well I did a TFC map a while back and I'm thinking of heading into DoD mapping at some point, however at this point I'm waiting for source to come out before I delve into it.
Don't see any point in starting a map only to have to totally re-do it as soon as source is released.
As cobra said, making a map is a huge endevour, especially if you take into account beta testing and suchlikes to remove all the niggly little bugs. The map I did with cstone took months - though admittedly that was because we were an ocean apart (literally) and also worked on it very sporadically. If you look at archived things on the website, you'll see one of the beta tests announced for it, then if you search somewhere on here, you'll get to see when the finished article was released. _________________ Most evil admin around.

yeah i know, i've tried several times to learn hammer now and i dunno i think im too dense to learn it. I had a friend try and do it for me but hes not exactally that skilled in hammer either (tends to start to make maps... then quits) Anywho i guess im either better off waiting or doin the dod forums. _________________
