OMG IM GONNA GO CRAZY!!!!!
I put a few hours into building a computer for my soon to be stepbrothers (ages 15 and 17) and umpteen hours into researching before i went ahead into buying and building. And today when one was playing CS:S, a pretty intense game for the system as it is, and when he was done playing it he reaches over and turns it off while in game!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  I AM NOT going to have my efforts wasted when their computer breaks.
Should I sit down and talk to then about how a computer is more than a video game console and theres more to it than that or should i insta-ban them from my hardwork?

Yes you should talk with them and make sure they understand, if after that they keep abusing it then take it away and spank there arses. That should learn um.

what if your game crashes, and freezes..can you press the power button then?

Upon reading this thread, my bf (previously watching the news on tv) decides to be nice and bring me some coffee while I am online. He promptly attempts to hand it to me, and instead spills it all over my mouse, mouse pad, wristpad, floor, my hand, my lap, and a little on my keyboard. grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.
Talking sounds like a good idea though!

The first thing you do is go find a 2x4, slam it on the table a few times
(no need to speak, they'll get the message) then lay down the LAW.
Let them know that no bad deed goes without punishment.

Just when I thought thins couldn't get any worse...JKing . If they do it again, you should unhook something and when they try to get back on it won't start. Then you come in really angry/sad (whichever you prefer) and make them feel really bad. |
