hey have have been playin on the ville one for a long time now and i used to have a ping between 80-100 and now i have had pings the last couple of days that have been over 200 and/or stay over 100(100-130) anyways im wondering if its the server or my location or my computer have any tips to keep the ping low. I have high speed dsl so i usually have low pings and im also getting alot of lag spikes to now so i dunno if u could help it would much appreciated!

Read reply in the other post . More often then not when service techs go out and disconnect or hook up services they don't pay attention and cause havok in the box. Like with cable if there is a short in anyones house between you and the pole you are screwed...lol Thats the bad thig about cable if someone puts in a crappy cable somewhere it don't only effect them it effects everyone on that line, because it back feeds through the system.

With DSL if the have a extra wire touching the terminal in side the box it can short you out as well.


Bottom line check with your provider and see if they can trace it down .

Try running the speedtest first then run the tweaktest and see if your settings might be out of wack .

Looks like you have a high download speed but a low upload speed.
