Well I ship out this Monday to Paris Island, SC to start my Marine Corps Training. For 13 weeks I will be gone from computers, gaming, ect...

, I have been given the job I wanted which is Artillery so im pretty happy about that. After 13 weeks of boot ill be doing 3 weeks in Camp Lagun, NC for MCT (Marine Combat Training) then off too Oklahoma for my Artillery training for -8 weeks I belive. Then i'll be off to my permanet duty station, which im hoping to be down south somewere. My cousin was just informed he will be stationed in hawii Aug. 5th for his pds, lucky basterd, but he was also told he should look be looking to be sent to iraq in november. but nuthing is written in stone with dates.

I will post again when I get home from boot, & after boot i will have access to computers and such more frequently.

GOOD LUCK!!! WOOT ... oh man... just keep standing tall.. gosh.. i wish i was a marine instead of army sometimes.. but an ways... if you can relay this to nopeace some how.. tell him to stay away from LAWTON OKLAHOMA that place is a HELL HOLE.. i was at fort sill for basic.. place sucks... i remember seeing the marines there for their artillery training.. but..... watch your self.. drink plent of water...

Oh man, you chose to go down to SC during the summer!?!?!??!?! OMG, all I can say is chiggers! actually, I can say a bit more than that, like sand fleas, gnats, mosquitos, ticks, regular fleas, did I mention chiggers?? Seriously, as soon as you get there and have an address available, send it to me, I'll send you mine in a PM. You'll need some stuff sent to you, and I'm sure the other Marines will love to send you some items

Have you ever wwatched the movie "The D.I."? Great old black and white. The only part of it I really remember is this one where the DI has his recruits searching for a dead sand flea.

Recruit: Sir, I found the sand flea!
DI: Son, was the one you killed a male or female?
Recuit: Uhhhh, male sir!
DI: Then this isn't the one, keep looking!
