GPS for the car. Does anyone have any knowledge of aftermarket type units?

I have been looking at the Vcommand which is voice only. anyone have any feed back on it?

any recommendations?

I would like it to have voice regonition and speak too.

Being portable would be nice but not required.

just a bit pricy. 2200$

if you wanna go portable i would say tomtom go. don't think it has speechrecognition. but a couple of buddies of mine have one and they say it's great. and not to pricy. 500-800$ i believe.

I purchased a Lowrance I-Way 500c in May, blows away the competition.
It has a 20gig hd built in so no need for memory sticks, comes with ALL the maps, so no need to program. 10 gig of the hd is for the built-in MP3 player!

It don't have voice rec, but it does speak and give directions.

The screen is BIG and is the only one I found that I can see in direct sunlite. I bought it primarily for my Gold Wing MC, but I also use it in my trunk during the day. $799. #Scatter
