Script Freaks

How many times have you been a scout running for the flag only to see another scout run right by you like you were a HW? How many times have you fought against someone that never seems to run out of ammo? How many times have you been sniped by someone who always seems to have a fully charged rifle?

I'll bet it's happened to many of you countless times. You know why? Because that scout is faster than you (jumping script). That soldier never does run out of ammo (auto reload script). That sniper's rifle is always fully charged (sniper charge script).

I have gotten very good at spotting people with scripts. Usually, it looks like they are cheating or they seem unbeatable. And some of the scripts are considered cheating. But most of the time, the player is just so scripted that nothing in their config is original!

Now text scripts are harmless to anyone. They save time without giving you an advantage over anyone else. I am happy to say that I do not use ONE single script! That's right, I play right out of the original TFC controls menu. If it's not in there, I don't use it. It is just no fun to me if I have even a small advantage against my opponent. All the scripts available DO give you an advantage over your opponent so don't fool yourself into believing you are better than the norm until you punish uninhanced.

I posted this for all of you who still play straight up without help! We are the few, the proud, the originals! We need no outside advantages to win. We win with pure skill and nothing else! So next time you play someone that you seriously just can't beat, they just might have a few scripts loaded to give them the advantage.

Stand and be proud nonscripters! Unite and punish with pure uninhanced skill! Muahahaha!

Curse those auto-reload scripts. I HATE them on mulch.

So I like to spam the word "Wark" on the screen whenever I kill someone, so I agitate them. It's a habit, OK!? GET OFF MY CASE! WAS THAT A THREAT? I AM JUST AS GOOD AS YOU ARE! WTF MAKES YOU THINK--*pause* ....

I do not script. Super sniper scripts (two that I know of, one is an instant full power, one allows full charged snipers to run at full speed) are really unfair. Bunny hopping scripts are dumb. I want to learn how to bunny hop myself, but I want to learn the right way, and hit the space/control/etc keys myself.

I know if you hit your shoot button and run at the same time you can charge your sniper rifle as you run.

I've tried to do the bunnyhop thing and just cant figure it out.

i use 2 scripts.. one that primes my grenade when i push a button, then throws it when i hit the key again, and one that i made.. it disguises me as a certain class when i hit a certain key.. these don't give me an advantage over anyone tho

I knew those snipers were cheating when they throw thier rifles up to thier face and pop you instantly lol...bastards...

I thought you were talking about a script that gave an instant full charge shot...

Well, you must destiguish between skill and script. Some people truly are amazing at this game without the help of inhancing scripts. Don't go willy nilly calling peeps script whores because you are being pwned!

Really though, scripts are quite easy to spot once you know what to look for.

Two. I don't play to say, ha ha, i'm better than you anyway, so if i -could- script, well, i wouldn't. I'd still be chasing you down with gas grenades and a crowbar, just like before. (Oh, yes, and i was the most annoying spy for a day. I was happy. 12 kills... but the next day i had pasta, and less mexican, so... I just couldn't quite pull it off. Just wait till taco day again.
