As a huge fan I think they did the right thing. If the FIA had just relented to the shicane in turn 13 it wouldn't have been a wasted race. Of course it looks more and more like a big chunk of manufacturers are going to break off and start their own series.

They should have given the points to the bridgestone runners and changed the track as sugested and gave the fans a race, like Coultard said in his interview. I know I have a few dissapointed friends that drove 15+ hours to see a race and diddn't get it.

Yet again, it was Ferrari who messed things up. The other 9 teams agreed that there ought to be a chicane put near the end of the track. Such an unsporting outfit they are, and now they've just helped leave the sport more worse off than ever.

For those who want to read about it ---->The Race of Shame

I love F1, but years by years it's getting so much of a joke...

Thanks for the link Easy Target. I had no idea what was really going on. There is so much drama behind the scenes of all the open wheel racing that I don't even bother trying to keep up to date with it anymore.

What the drivers/teams did was the right thing. Safety should always be the #1 concern in racing. The governing body of F1 should be ashamed.

wtf do i get a password box for some .org when I read this thread?

edit: raph fix your avatar and sig links plz.

It's formula one. There are only 3 races in the western hemisphere. That is why no one here gives a carp about it. All the other races take place when the potential NA fanbase is asleep.
