TV2 update

when is the ns server TV II going to be updated
the server is runing 3.0 and 3.0.3 is going now
make it happene and Il try and get it filled, if its not only combat anymore

I will take care of this if not tonight tomorrow during the day. Also many of the ideas I had for tv2 were only available for servers running under windows. Im waiting for a few key updates from the developers of these addons for linux.

I will make a post in this forum with the change log once complete.

Edit : It is now updated to 3.0.3 !

ok, heres a few things
TV2 is only combat?
should be both if its the only ns ville has
is mapvoting in?
why does the server have 17 slots?
should make it even, and ns is balanced for 12-16 players
is there going to be Cheating-Death as optional like it was on TV3, that worked well in my oppinion

I dont think cheating death does anything, since a program to work around it is rather widespread. 17 slots servers have 1 reserve (the 17th). Also, 3.0 final balanced res flow for large games. Aliens are no longer starved on large servers. Large servers attract players. Players are needed if you want a game. FF kind of screws marines over in NS imo, but is a good idea in CO. However, it would be difficult to have it switch from on to off depending on the map type I think. I am no expert however.

Actually I think it is easy to set up specific map configs. And it's the 18th slot that is reserved and hidden.

and I think the res flow fix and other stuff wouldn't be needed if this is only a co server?

i say give it a chance with how silver is setting it up, see if we can keep regs. if it doesn't work, it can be discussed after that? that is up to silver though, i will definitely support whatever decision he makes though
