Interesting site.. Problem I see is that it doesn't factor in the cost of living indexes into the curve. So, while < $27,000/yr (per household) is poverty in the US, it's far lower in most other countries.

Yeah...this system has to be horribly flawed.
I put in a rought estimate for my wife and I
"You are in the top 0.899% richest people in the world."
Yet factor in the cost of living as has been mentioned and all the other factors and these numbers change drastically. |

Maybe the system isn't flawed? maybe, just maybe, since this is a site trying to get you to donate money, they want you to think that this number is accurate without cost of living or any other factors? heh. I just found it interesting, I dk my real number, so I put in a random number 
Just think of motives behind it.... I mean, it breaks it down to an approximate of what you make an hour and asks you just to donate that.
You all did hear bout the kid who asked everyone to donate one penny to his college fund right? He got, I think - would have to look it up to get actual number, the equivalent of 2.8 million pennies? (equivalent since some sent in other amounts of money-dimes, quarters, what not)

I do remember hearing about that kid. hehe..it was cool...I said to myself "go him"
anyway...yeah...you're right...and it's not that I couldn't afford what they are asking...but at the same time I just find things like this to usually be predatory.
I'm a generous person by nature and I feel really bad when I come across things like that because I dont' trust them and I feel like they are trying to guilt me into giving them money....but that's just me I guess. |

oh I didn't mean for you to want to donate, just pointing out why they were only "analyzing" by gross income, not differentiating between costs of living and such. I didn't even notice it was a donation site til I checked back lol
