Well folks, this weekend VE (Victory in Europe) day occurs! For those of you who don’t know it's the day that World War II officially ended. This year is the 60th anniversary and it will probably be the last of its kind! When the 70th anniversary comes around (due to demographics) there will not be many vets left to honor!

Make sure to take some time out of your busy day to think about those who have made sacrifices for you in life. Remember the individuals who never met you and yet went willingly into the valley of the shadow of death for you. Think about the individuals – many of whom were around my age of 18 - who were in Europe fighting constantly and giving their lives for your freedom. The world would be a much different place if those men (and women) had not decided to do what they did.

hmmm...VE day is victory in Europe...the war continued into JAPAN...so its not quite the end of the war...VJ day is....just thought Id throw that out there

just a question, is the ville doing anything special for D-Day, June 6th. We should have an all day charlie or something on one of the servers or something like that.

i dont know about anyone else so i am just speaking for myself, but do you think charlie turns into an all day sniper/scharfschutze fest? i really dont like charlie for that reason. just a thought.

I think they did that on ville 4 the last time...or atelast...it was voted for like every other map

yeah im not usually a big charlie fan, but when its all good people, like we have here at theville, it always ends in fun! im up for anything.
