So I sit here and wonder....wonder wonder wonder...
If natural gas is produced by dead animals, plankton and whatnot that has died and collected under caprocks to trap it and keep it under pressure and then left to bake for milions of years to form....where did the natural gas on Titan come from? _________________ Only in America......do they have drive-up ATM machines with Braille lettering. |

No, there's a constant supply of liquid methane on Titan. Scientists are still trying to figure out how its system works. _________________

Natural gas is a derivative of Methane gas. Methane gas is easily created in the atmosphere, and infact it is all the time when lightning bolts occur. Methane is created when CO2 and 2 H2 molecules subjected to electricity or other chemical processes combine to form CH4. This new methane can gather up more carbon and hydrogen atoms, making it a more complex form of methane, such as butane, octane, or natural gas. These are called Hydrocarbons, and they occur all over in nature even without living organisms to create them.
It is quite concievable that the moon Titan had an atmosphere, but the chance that it has or had life is not so concievable.
