who's gonna play it? there's no monthly fee soyou can count me in. I see mujo is in his sig. im gonna go to EB and preorder so i can be in the beta on the 15th and get a free bow.

I'm not very familiar with it other than what I read like a year or so ago.

Is it going to cost when the full version comes out as it's just in beta now (from what I can decipher)?

And how's the gameplay in it?

ok, here's the breakdown:

Guild Wars is NOT free, here's why... you pay "retail cost" for the software, just like any other game... but the monthly subscription? thats free, because it doesnt exist... you pay only once for the game. but there will be expansion packs in the future, but you do not HAVE to buy them to continue playing! thats awesome! so yeah, the first ever Free MMRPG@!!!!

Playablity:

Guild War's focus is more on PvP than the normal RPG, but the RPG story is great, and its well worth it to buy just for the story!
the PvP combat is sweet. I've played in two BWE (Beta Weekend Events, they have one a month till release). The game will be released April 28th. next BWE is the 15th. The graphics are sweet. I have a Athlon 2200 XP, GeForce FX 5200 128mb, and 768 mb ram, and it runs sweetly at medium/high settings.

Guild Wars is made by ArenaNet, and the guys who made Diablo, Diablo II, and Diablo II expansion (guys from Blizzard) so you know its going to be a high quality game. My advice, preorder before the next BWE, play the next BWE, and if you dont like it, you've only paid $10

but trust me, you'll like it if you're into RPG's.

. we're not into Hardcore stuff or anything, just a bunch of guys to play together and play through the missions, im not sure if we're going to get into the PvP aspect too much, who knows.

could i dual class as a ranger/necromancer? what is the best pre-order item? im thinking i should get ica's bow. are they all noob items or are they somewhat hard to get or you cant get them in any way other then preorder?

I've played it, I'm going to buy it too. I like the way it's made - I've played WoW and I didn't see why it costs almost $200 a year USD... It's really not worth it to me personally.

My friend just got the game. Hes like YOU GOTTA GET IT. I went over to his house, it look awesome. Lots of choices for classes and such. But right now im kinda lacking in the money catagory, so ill wait till the summer to get it. But the graphics look awesome.
