ok so we recently had our main hard drive (family one) crash and whatever, so we put a new one in. . . i however kept all (or so i thought) of my files on a seperate hard drive (yes we had two). . . now that we've got the new one, steam kept all my games EXCEPT HL2 and CS:S. . . so i tried once to reinstall it with the disk, but that didn't work for some reason, and whenever i click "install game" on "my games" menu, it says "the steam server is too busy at this point. please try again later." so i try again and again and again and same message. . . any ideas? think the disk may work, i haven't had time / patience to try it again, so. . .

if you bought the retail, try going to browse games and click register a product i already own and see if the CD key will do it.

make sure you are using the right steam account. i have 2 and i log into the wrong one on occation
