Ok I work with a girl that was born and raised in Toronto, and I had to bust out the question... "Which is better Krispy Kremes or TIm Hortons". this was the respons: Both are great doughnuts However Tims is more known for "Tims bits" which are basically doughnut holes, and Tim also played hockey (not sure what this has to do with anything) and that Krispy Kremes are and I quote "A doughnut onto itself" when asked what the hell that was supposed to mean she said it means she has never tasted a doughnut quite like it. So when asked which one she would rather have she said If she wants something like Doughnut holes then Tims all the way but for an actual doughnut, then its krispy kremes. So based on all this ive decided that the only way to decide is to try them for yourselves and make the call.
Just giving my .02 and trying to keep myself occupied on a friday so im not staring at the clock waiting for the weekend all day.

Boy, not much gets by you, huh, Curious?
Well, I have never had Tim's but lemme tell you about Krispy Kremes...
The Kreme inside is like no other Kreme I have ever tasted, and the way it coats my mouth when I bite into one of them is heavenly. And, of course, I invariably end up with some on my lips that I have to lick off. Then, just when I think the pleasure is done, I notice I have some on my fingers that I get to suck off.
They are Yummy!!

I see your southern, Hoax.
Us yankees (I actually like the jets) Can't stand Krispy kream doughnuts. I havn't found a single northerner that can even stand to be in the same room as those god forsaken things... myself included.
The Tim bits, or whatever they are (The doughnut holes), on the other hand, just about always make an appearance at my parties. Mmmm. Doughnut holes. Tim Hortons. Mmmm.
[Edited to add]
I have no ideal -why- southern people like Krispy Kream doughnuts and northerners enjoy Tim hortons, by the way. But it really seems like that... oh, yea, and they arn't really god forsaken. We just don't like them here, so we can call them that.

We upper midwesterners don't have either. In fact, we have no major doughnut chains here in Western Wisconsin, save for the occasional Dunkin in the larger southern WI cities. I've had Krispy Kreme and Dunkin', but didn't really like either. I like the local bakery doughnuts better. They're fresh all the time, and I can custom order them if I want. I really like Brueggers Bagels too. They have really good jalepeno cream cheese. *yummy*

Sanggle,
You must be after my heart!! I Love Brueggers Bagels!! I used to eat at the one in Houston all the time. And yes, the jalapeno cream cheese rocks. Ever had a Santa Fe? Turkey, alphalpha sprouts, jalapeno creme cheese,...
Unfortunately, I have been away from Houston for nearly four years and can't find a Brueggers. There is no place that makes 'em like Brueggers!
But ya do have tailgate parties, brauts, & beer.
Oh, yeah, and Shipley's has the most rockin' khalachi's!!!

I will certainly go with our local donut shop here. It's over by a little airport near here. The rest are ok but that one has the gift of baking and donuts.
Krispy Kreme's are to sweet for me. yuk.
They are like eating sugar and they're small and uniform in size like they are made by a machine... the right Mom and Pop donut shop rules. Big chains suck.
I have never had Tim's so all you northeasterns and cannuks don't go getting the snow off your collar.
