I don't think game is even a verb...
I just looked it up and it said "To play for stakes; gamble." Are they talking about video poker? _________________

I think gamers play to have a certain feeling of "power", like why do we drive so fast sometimes, mostly because when you are in your car you feel "invincible and powerful".
Let face it, most of "gamers" in a real situation of danger (war, hostage, etc) will probably just do like everybody else (write your exemple here). You may be the best CS, DOD, TFC, NS, DM in the world but let see what you will do when a real MG42 is shooting at you.
So, we all researching a escape of our little dangerousless life. Become something else, someone else.
Really good article indeed! _________________

Idk why everyone else games... but for me its a means of escaping the everyday grind, where you dont have to think bout the your problems... a fantasy world where the only thing you have to worry bout is where you gotta run to for the next quest .. also a form of entertainment...Like maybe someone who is wheelchair bound plays a football game because it simulates something we cant do in realife...a means of escape
but then again I play more Rpg's then I do first person shooters... |

I'm not going to get a car for as long as I can possibly hold off due to the fact that I fear I'll kill myself. So that's not quite true at all. _________________
