an extra admin or two?

I know everyone is there as much as they can be, but maybe can we assign and extra admin or two. There two guy in the ville I right now as I'm typing this block the exits for both spawn in a map. Mainly because they know there is no admin there to stop them. To say the least it's killing the game. Some help would be nice but I know it's not going to come over night, but one or two extras would be nice.

it happens frequently on ville 1...especially on maps like flash...by the time people get an admin there...either the person has stopped...or all the angered people had left...a couple undercover admins would do best. becuase most people know who the admins are, so just pick random regulars and ask them to do a service

When on the servers I am always undercover and usually switch up my names once a week or so.

I think he meant make people admins without announcing it or giving them the avatar and stuff. Not just aliasing.

I second the motion. On Tuesday, there were a TEAM (3 or 4 on the same team)of idiots blocking doors and entrances. Also, they were totally mic spamming screaming anything disrepectful and foul (the n word was their favorite)they could think of. It was the most irritating thing I've ever seen at theVille. I wanted to leave, but I figured that was giving in. Anyway, I wish there could have been an admin there to kick or ban 'em.

or you could get thier steam id, time/date, and server and file a complaint.

i thin wired is using today as an example with some spawn blcokers(and other stuff) but even though undercover admins would be good vtec still came in and saved teh day. he banned one of the two guys (the other left or something) but that is what the complaint dep is for. but i still think the idea is cool

If you pick a couple random regulars that might be a problem also, who can you trust? Maybe if you need some more admins put up a poll, might find a couple people everyone trust and would be able to help out here and there one the servers.

Another way to deal with this is add some admins to your AIM (or another IM service) buddy list and when you have a problem, message one of them.

Of course there is always the complaint department which notifies all admins that there is a problem.

Most of the people that cause problems aren't regulars and wouldn't know the admins anyway. I don't think it would make a difference. Even if 2 were added they couldn't be one every minute a "known" admin wasn't.

the complaint dept. is great for a guy who curses even when you tell him not to. but when you have mutiple people voice spamming, blocking and using language that would make a salior blush, you gotta get an admin right away, cause it ruins the game completly for everyone playing.

The only thing i can suggest right now until we fix the problem is to add every admin you can think of to your AIM list and just bug the crap out of them if there is a problem. Just as soon as a problem hits the servers whether it is big or small or just an annoyance that bothers only you and not anyone else send an IM to an admin, and that admin will do their job and join in the game...if they don't well they have to answer to jfet and i

, but i know for a fact there is not one single admin who wont be frothing at the mouth to get in there and bust some heads. Unless i am on vaction (which i am on now) i keep my chat client on and the sound very high so i can hear it in another room so please add me your list and i will respond very quickly.

The complaint dept. is also a fantastic tool for anything. Though it does work a little slower than IMs it is a perfect place for cheaters, and problems that aren't extremely bad, but still need taking care of. Even if the person who comits the offenses logs off the server or quits what they are doing send the complaint in anyway and they will be dealt with. I always take each and every complaint seriously as do the other admins...so don't think it falls on deaf ears and don't think the admins don't want to help...we do...its just impossible for us to be everywhere unfortunally no matter how many we have.

do what I do, make a demo, take screen shots, quit the game, come back in like 30 min when cooled down and make a long complaint in the complaint dep. (main nav bar, misc complaints)
