I found out that my grandparents bought me a new car for my birthday (and my husband's combined, since our bdays are only 2 days apart)! Well, it's a used car... but it's still super awesome because it means I no longer have to take the bus anymore after this last year of torture since I got rid of my old car. Anyway, its a purple car (1998 Ford Escort... even if im not a ford fan im hyped), and ive already bought some really cute purple faery car accessories from hottopic.com.
Even better yet, my parents are paying for the insurance for 1 year.... So, now I dont even have to completely quit spending my money on green to be able to afford to drive it. Although, I'm sure RebelRouser will be proud of me to know I have actually quit for a couple weeks. hehe. Baby steps.
I get to pick the car up next week  for now, my dad has even lent me his Honda Civic to drive around til we get insurance and new windshield worked out on the new one. Feels sooooo nice to have wheels again.
Anyway.... i'm extremely thrilled about the car and insurance. ive never gotten a big gift like that before....in fact, my family isnt even very close at all. i also feel kind of weird about it. I'm married, and 24 years old.... my family has never spoiled me like this before... why are they starting now? Do other people's families help them out like that?

Theres only one in Edmonton, now I will know who it is when I see it on the road

Unfortunately, there are a lot of rednecks in pickup trucks in this city... and they all seem to like to honk at the ladies.... hehe
Ive seen a few other purple escorts (in fact, someone I work with has one)... but I bet i'll have the only one completely decked out in matching faery accessories.
And thanks guys... my real birthday isnt til March 31 though, so it's a bit early
