2 DoD Source Vids are out right now. 1 in avalanche and the other in flash.

The sound is alot nicer, but the maps pretty much looked and felt the same. There were no models however....

No nade priming? What the?

This is now non-existant. I have found that I can still use the grenades effectively, but I really do miss nade-priming, as do most of the BETA testers. Luckily this is the BETA; Nade priming is most likely to make an appearance again, so please don't knock it because I'm fairly sure it will be back! One thing I noticed about grenades is when they go off nearby, you "deafen" for a short period of time (only about 1-4 seconds) depending on how close the grenade is. It always reminds me of the scene on "Saving Private Ryan" where Captain John Miller is just staring into open space as all the sound around him goes "muffled." It definately adds a lot more excitement to the game. |
