So you're saying that the man should have pounded his fists into the floor?

2, AZ is a right to carry state. So with that, if you witness a person being harmed in a manner that is life threating and they cannot defend themsleves, you have the right to use deadly force to stop the interaction.

acually your wrong.. i have my concealed weapon or firearm license... and to get your license you have to know when its ok to pull a firearm and when its not.. a fistfight like the one witnessed on this video is not life threating nor could one say he would of substainded life threating injurys ethier... now if the victim woulda said before he got hit "what you gonna make me morgue meat?" and the guy responed with a yes then you could pull your firearm because he stated he was gonna send him to the morgue... But just looking at that video you have no right to pull a firearm. Theres a law called the castle doctrine ... which states if you can safely exit you have to take the exit over being a hero and pulling your gun because it could escalate the the situation but the castle doctrine states that if its in your house you do not have to exit and you can stand your ground! but if your not at your house or your place of buisness and you have the chance to exit safely you have to take the exit...

But you could legaly use a non-lethal weapon such as a stungun, taser, hell you could even hit him with a rubber bullet or beanbag...

Actually I'm correct. Well, at least in AZ, I'm not sure about Florida. Az state law gives you the right to use deadly force in a few situations. The law allows the use of deadly force and it being "legally justified" in FOUR circumstances when facts support its use. They are:

1. Self-defense
2. Defense of another person
3. Prevention of certain crimes
4. In law enforcement.

Now with that, there are 8 crimes that you can apply deadly force and be justified if needed, htey are:

1. Murder
2. Burglary of a home or burglary by a person who is armed
3. Sexual assault (including rape)
4. Armed robbery
5. Kidnapping
6. Child molesting
7. Arson of an occupied structure
8. Assault involving deadly force.

Now, when you took your CCW class I'm not sure if they talked about an thing called JAM. This is a way to tell if you need to use deadly force.
J - jeopardy, is your life or someone elses in jeopardy
A - ability, does the agressor have the ability to cause bodily harm.
M - Means, does the agressor have the means to cause bodily harm.
This situation had all 3 items there.

Also, in AZ, when the police arrive to a scene such as this one they are required to ask if anybody tried to stop this event from happening. If they find out you have a CCW and were carrying and did nothing, Arizona Department of Public Safety will take yoru CCW away and you cannot get it back. EVER.

Oh well, enough of that rant. I mean we can sit here for hours going back and forth but in the end but there is 1 simple fact, neither you or I are lawyers nor judges so we don't get to decifer the law, and a jury gets weeks to rip the decission apart. At least he didn't get off by claiming racial discrimination or some crap like that.

That's affirmative, I am a meat popcicle. I'm not attempting to turn the world against apes. I have witnessed apes attacking each other. In fact, I've witnessed some actually canabalizing other apes. And here I thought they ate veggies and fruit. In fact, did you know humans evolved from a cannibalistic order of apes? I'm a discovery channel hoor! My point was that apes can be very unpredictable and very predictable too. You just never know exactly what they'll do. In the wild, they allow instinct to guide them more so than common sense. Because common sense is not an immensely strong virtue among friggen apes. Why? Because they're friggen apes! This was my point.

However, I do not claim to be as knowledged in the ways of apedom as you are killer. It was not my intention to offend you or the ape community. I hereby retract my statement regarding apes as to not offend anyone further.

Thank you

On the kitty Genovese thing, and that situation theres a common psychological term for it. i cant quite remember what it is but i shall explain.

When a group of people see something happen they shift the responsibility. you clearly see about 10 people there, and i guarantee every one of them assumes that someone else is doing something about it. Same thing with the Genovese case. With 38 people watching, everyone assumes that someone else is doing something, so inevitably what you have happening is it just keeps going around and noone does anything.

How many of you have been in game with a hacker and 12 regular players, all non-admin? How many times have you just left or kept playing assuming someone else has done something? Probably your answer is more often then not.

The situation changes when if it had been just 3 people in that pizza shop. The responsibility is on the third party no matter what therefore they are more likely to act and do something.

And honestly, im glad none of those people in the pizza incident got directly involved. The assailant could have had a gun or something else. You never know what could've happened. Instead of having one guy beat up you could have had 3 dead and more wounded. Some situations i agree its good to do what you can, but if i was one of those bystanders i would've waited and described the guy to the cops and got his license plate.

Moral: You have to pick and choose your battles. Carefully.
