Is it just me, or does the ETA for TF2 say year 2042?
Ummm... I'll just wait until it hits the shelves.

I just got a kick out of the system specs and the Linksys Lan card that has 1TB of memory. |

I admit I had to chuckle at the recommended video card:
"Video Card: 3D holographic full immersion holotank"

Well, a fairly decent Power Gaming box in 2042 would be something like this...
a 16.4 THz (that's TerraHertz) Processor
about 800 TerraByte Hard Disk (I'm sure it'd be Ultra Fast Wide Super SCSI 22... 4TB/sec transfer speed)...
About 8 TBytes/RAM (PC 1 (1 TerraHertz))
A 512 GB Video Card... (resolution on the order of 4096x3072)
800 Mbit/sec DSL connection
Man, in 40 years we're all gonna be sitting there with our horrible carpal tunnel syndrome, and laughing about "back in the day" with the SLOW 2 GHz boxes...

I wonder how many people who actually put in orders for that? Anyway, nice site.
Oh and at the rate technology is improving I would bet that it would be 4x better than those machines.

Keyboard? you won't need any keyboard! Nor a monitor just a jack in your head...Nothing like being 87 and looking around as a teenager! |

Yeah, I'm thinking radio telepathy and smell-a-vision.
We won't be complaining about bugs in the software, we'll be complaining that the programmers made the flies on the battlefield too freakin realistic. And that we accidentally called in an airstrike while swatting them away. Llamas will have to fear, not software that scans your hard drive, but admins that can forcefully probe their minds for memories of respawn camping.
Ooooh, scary. I don't even want to think about what form an admin_slap will take.
