shake machine?

i was wondering why milkshake machines always seem to be broken. i walked over to burger king to get a milk shake and the damn thing was broken. i really dont have a problem with it. i am just wondering why they are always "broken." it seems like every other time that i want a milkshake that they are broken. do any of you, or have any of you worked at a place with a milkshake machine? and if so can you explain why they are always broken.

are they broken or just not cleaned yet? kind of odd to think that a teenager is likely to be the one responsible...I bet you could not even get their room clean with any type of promise you could think of

I've noticed that.... Normally happens to me at Arby's... I order a Jamocha shake, pay for it, and they give me a soda.. wth? Oh it is broken... of course. bums. Once though, they did something similar when I wasn't in a good mood.... tee hee hee, they gave me a vanilla shake instead of a jamocha one, so I went back inside, and asked why, they were like well, machine is broken.
-Excuse me? Do you mean you ran out of syrup?
-OH! syrup, right, that's it!
-so is the machine broken or out of syrup?
-out of syrup.
-so why did you say it is broken? because clearly it isn't, I am holding a shake right here.
-um, I don't know *looks around for a manager*
-so do you have any syrup?
-*manager walks up* What's the problem?

-oh, they forgot to add syrup, here *puts some syrup on top of my vanilla shake

so I ended up having to blend it in myself, but at least it was a jamocha shake

yeah i never really believed that its broken when they say it is. just annoys me that when i really want a shake that i cant get one.
