Because of jfet I have been playing on the ville since June of 2000. Man that was a long time ago.
I was part of the [TFA] (alternate) with powder, jfet and some others who no longer play here. I played under the alias Worm Savior and then Aftershock before I settled on Shockwave.
Of course - I never joined the forums until 3 years later. |

Signed up on the Ville last Oct, got exactly 100 posts, then HD crashed, Rob took a hiatis, and Jfet and Powder took over.
Whew.. Anyway, been with HL since the beginning, which has caused me to go half-blind, arthritis in my hands, multitudious keyboards and mice, continuous upgrading my monitors, and a constant desire to get a faster system and hacks for the likes of vTEC and Cmon!
And YES, your right. I do NOT have a life. There is no life after Half Life.
The other half of my life is spent here with the likes of you guys. 
If is wasn't for my constant desire to frag RR, flame Stevo, to take LS and KA for a ride on the GoldWing, there would be nothing else to do.. well, except, huntin, fishin, bikin, chasing Mrs. Bull around the house.. Oh, did I tell you about my Grandkids? Just found out # 4 is on the way.

On this particular forum, since the beginning (Rob transferred my account across!)
At the ville/avantiville, since Late Nov'/Early Dec' of 2000, so that's 4 years and a few months

Xexre, now there's a blast from the past. I had tremendous difficulties killing him too - especially one on one as HW. Great player....shame he was such an ass.

Me too.
JD has been here since nearly the very beginning. I was perhaps the 4th admin at the Ville (Robert E. Lee, Cadman and John Carter of Mars) where all here before me (they worked at Clark Graphics together).
I played at TurkeyburgerVille for some time and finally offered Robert E. Lee (he was called Eddie Munster back then) my help, he signed me on as an admin just as TurkeyburgerVille transitioned to WarpathVille (This didnt last long) and then to Avantiville.
I cant recall when this all happened, for some reason I think it was fall of 1999 but it could have been the fall of 2000 too...
I have seen many many many good people come and go and a surprising number of them have stayed around. The Ville is like a big family, we love each other (Nanners loves some of us more than others) we fight each other and we enjoy each others company. What more could you want
