How long has everyone been here?

I have been here since the forums were located on the Clarck graphics website. (http://tfc.clarkgraphic.com or something like that)

Oh yeah and you use to have to wait till like 4 p.m. central for the server to come on line........and then good luck trying to get in.

Started playing on the servers when I got cable, early 2001. Diddn't register until oct 2001

Btw, any of you old schoolers remember -=Ravioli Kid=-? I wouldn't be here if it weren't for him.

I was here back before "they" made Sully start wearing clothes on the servers.

Played for a couple months randomly on the Ville server before locating the forums. lol Spamming away since Nov. '01 but I've cut way back on that.

Played HL from HLDM - HL2DM. Too bad there wasn't a HLDM Ville server or I may have been here earlier.

Was in {SDK}, then nsk for like a week?, then <TVB>, then some of us broke away to form/join =US-V=, then became admin here, then <TVB> again for the last great stand, helped form <eVa> with some <TVB> friends, now I've retired from adminship and I play shuffleboard with my <eVa> croanies.

Ready for more fun and less thinking here in '05.

It's been so long... let's see, I've been here through at least one forum change, so that's not a good way of remembering.. Well, I wasn't here for Turkeyburgerville, but I did play on Avantiville when it was just one server run from Clark Graphics. I'd have to guess it was summer of 1999 or so when I joined because I think I was here about a year before the forums switched to theville.org.

Of the tens of thousands of frags I've racked up here, the only person I've never really been able to kill was Xexre, followed by EagleEyes as a close second.

It was amazing how there was always a mad rush to get onto the TV servers once 4pm struck the hour at Clark Graphics (considering there were thousands of other 24/7 servers out there)!

It was only during Avantiville that I really brought out my lawn chair and camped out till the servers came online. During the first few weeks, I almost got busted by some lame kinfe-stabbing admin called FragFailure. I let him stab me a couple of thousand times and finally became an Admin on Oct 8 2001 and launched TV4 (anybody remember SuperChicken?!) and the TV4.1 Grudge Server (Tayconc anyone?). I also remember working on the stats code back then with Rob to include other extraordinary weapons. Special mention too to Nanite and KRG who tended the Zen Garden in Osaka.

Those were really really good moments and I'm sure anybody who was around then can attest to it. In retrospect, I'm sure with the amount of time spent gaming at TheVille, I probably could have gotten a PhD and conquered world hunger, but hey, you can't put a price on entertainment!
