Hello everyone, just a quick question. Which map do you PERSONALLY think is the fairest? I want to know which map would determine which team has the best team-playing communication. Take for instance, in TFC almost all the maps are exaclty equal for both sides. Which map in DOD is clostest to that concept??? Your input is greatly appreciated. |

As far as the standard maps I think Kalt is most equal, both side are almost identical. _________________

Switch is another closely balanced map. It is rare that any particular team wins it outright. _________________

Kalt, switch and flash are mostly equal but I will say Caen is also in that category.
And for the most unequal map... Sturm! It's like hell for the Axis... I hate that map, that's why I like TV4 more than TV1. _________________

In my eyes, Kalt is terribly uneven, if you work it out the right way.
With a decent defensive Axis team, they can stop the Allies, no
matter how good, from rarely getting the Axis 2nd flag (Allied 4th.)
While on offense, at least in my experience as an Axis player, it
becomes ridiculously easy through the Sewer System, to get at
the Allies 1st flag, and then to their second.
Switch would have my vote for most even map. I've only
ever capped the last flag one time. Ridiculously hard. _________________ Spawn camper since: Dod Beta 1.0

It depends what you mean by 'balanced'
I would not describe switch as balanced first, I would describe it as crap first. It's not fun, it's impossibly hard to cap the last flag on either side. Ok so it's impossibly hard for both teams but that doesn't make it a good map.
kalt is one of my favourite maps, but that's cos I'm a nade whore - I would say it's pretty balanced as both sides have a good chance of full capping.
Avalanche I'd say has a slight axis bias but it can be fairly easily overcome by a good allied team. Depends what you get on pub servers.
I'd say anzio is a pretty good balanaced map that doesn't rely on more or less mirror image approaches to a middle flag. Northbound too. _________________ Most evil admin around.

Switch seems to be evenly laid out. Kalt also however on Kalt,
The Axis only get 1 window facing the bridge, no sandbags at the corner after the second flag by the building(that only has one window facing the bridge?) and there is no indent by the building like on the allies side.
Clearly balanced toward the allies.(however it is pretty even when compared to many other maps) _________________ Have a knife day! |

You think it's uneven, especially the sewers?!? You haven't played against me have you? Sewers is my playground!! I have ran the sewers so many times it's not even funny. As for the most balanced, I would say it is Kalt by a long shot. Both teams start out even. It's basically which team can push the hardest, because I have seen a lot of wins and losses because of team effort. If you want to know the most uneven, it's gotta be charlie and av (Even though I love the challenge of being an allie on av) _________________
