Bull... what do you mean putting the .TVR tag on? Like, on the forums? I don't know how to add it. |
This is the player name while your in game that everyone sees. Next time your playing DoD, just hold down your TAB key and the player list pops up. When I'm on, you see "BULL V$.TVR" Bull is the name with the ville supporter and TVR tag on the end.
You can edit you name anytime while playing by going to the console, type
name Lhiannan_Shee.TVR
But if you want it perm, the best way to add/chg your player name is in the config.cfg file. Go to
ProgramFiles/valve/Steam/Steamapps/email/day of defeat/dod/ and look for the file config.cfg.
First, open the file with a simple text editor, like WordPad, and then save it with a different name, like oldconfig.cfg.
This will keep you from corrupting your original file. Now look down in the file until you find the line "name". Just edit that line so it shows:
name Lhiannan_Shee.TVR
<note the space between name and Lhiannan>
Now save the file with it's original file name, config.cfg
After saving the file, I would also suggest right clicking on the file name, left click on properties, and mark the file
read only under attributes.
You can do the same for Team Fortress Classic. Same file name.

If you decide to become a supporter, just re-edit the same file name (after you have un-clicked the read only attribute) with the V$ added.

Actually it's probably best if you change your name by clicking "Options" in-game... Anyway, I think she already uses the tag...

Listen, STEVO, I was just trying to be a little helpful, just in case the .cfg file was already set for read-only. If your going to keep this crap up, you can feel free to remove me from TVR, as I don't need the aggravation.

aww be nice boys. you cant leave tvr bull, because you amuse me too much, and stevo... i dont really know stebo but hes a good guy and just why cant you all get along? i love tvr ad the vill eand everyone.
normally i would prolly say something more prophetic but i just got back from a really cool concert ad ad kind of had tooo many drink.
dammit now mu fries are cold

Not feeling well at all. Even spent some time this morning praying at the porcelain alter. They need a cool barfing smiley face. Altho, I'm not quite sure if it was the drink that caused that, or if I have the flu. been feeling like im coming down w/ something.
oh man, too late for me to edit that post now I guess. lol. i vaguely recall surfing the ville when I got home, and was pretty sure i made a post. ugh.
i honestly dont drink much at all, except red wine like once a week maybe. At the concert I only had 5 drinks though.... Smirnoff Ice. In Canada they are yummy 7% vodka coolers, not the icky malt liquor stuff they have in the states. My mom gets drunk off of like 2 beers, and I think I also carry her intolerance to alcohol which is probably why i dont like to drink often.
anyway... concert was awesome. Was Tegan and Sara. Ran into some old friends too, and had a pretty good time.
on another note, under the silver membership, what does:

You could set it up so only you can use your name on the servers. Not sure if that's still available, though...
