I was curious if anyone has some good programs they use to clean up their PC, ie: Spyware, adware, errors, registry problems, build up of files, anything to speed up your pc really.
I use Ad-aware, and Easy Cleaner
Easy Cleaner

There's a program called HijackThis that's great if you get errors at start-up such as "Cannot find blah-blah-blah.dll". Just run the program and delete the entry that ends in blah-blah-blah.dll.
If you're in need of a free antivirus try AVG free. And for a firewall ZoneLabs ZoneAlarm Personal is pretty good, I've heard. If you ever need to REMOVE a virus use "the russian hitman" as one friend of mine calls it, Kaspersky.
Edits: Found links and fixed name and link of AVG version. _________________ -EvilGenius V$^PK

You have to be a supporter to get it.

If you ONLY use it take care of the dialog boxes you get at start-up, you should be fine. That's all I use it for, and it's idiot proof for that. _________________ -EvilGenius V$^PK

It means that you can use it to remove lots of stuff, but you have to know what it's doing. Personally, I use AdAware and SpyBot S&D for my semi-regular scans. When I come across the problem of "Hey, every time I load Windows on this ****ing machine I get a box about some file it can't find. Can you get rid of that?" (which I get often enough b/c I work for a HelpDesk at my school), I run "HijackThis" and match the name of the missing file to the entry in HJT that has that same name and delete. It's alot easier than scanning the registry myself. _________________ -EvilGenius V$^PK
