I just finish watching "Unbreakable" by M. Night Shyamalan. I know that's not a new movie but that movie made me realize how this guy make powerful movies.

So far, he as "made" 4 great movies:
"The Sixth Sense"
"Unbreakable"
"Signs"
"The Village"

I like the fact that he has play in all of his movie, kinda funny. He bring such a thrilling climax into his movies and you always wondering what will happen in the end. And that's a thing I love in movies (like "Vanilla Sky") or a end that as no sense but still as a meaning (like "Magnolia", if you never saw that one, watch it completly, the end is unreal!).

As for me, here the list of his movies but in my preference order (what's your?):

1. "The Sixth Sense" (Didn't find the end and it's pretty rare from me)
2. "Unbreakable" (Really like the play Bruce's son)
3. "The Village" (Like all the twist at the end)
4. "Signs" (Not bad but I never like Mel Gibson as a actor! Sorry Mel)

Little link for M. Night Shyamalan-----> http://www.mnight.com/
(Had to know how to write is name correctly)

The Sixth Sense was his best one IMHO. The Village was eh, I remember thinking while I was watching...this is kinda stupid. The ending of it was creative though.

The Village would of been good if it was not a full movie but like a twilight Zone episode type show.
A movie short so to speak, short and sweet.

I think my fav movie of his is "Sixth Sense", but I also really enjoyed the comic book themed, "Unbreakable"....

In all of his movies though (except perhaps "Sixth Sense" -- which im sure would have been ruined had you heard a spoiler though [big downfall]--) there is something missing. Like, something that would have made the movie soooo much better..... but that is hard to fingerprint. Or, like a really good idea or premise gone wrong (like the cheeziness of the aliens in "Signs", etc). I sometimes get the feeling he is trying too hard or something.... that, too, is hard to pinpoint. Then again, i can't dislike him THAT much, as I have seen all the movies he's directed... hmmm.

Just a personal opinion, of course. Excuse my weird punctuation. I confuse myself.

I don't really like his movies. I've seen them all but The Village, but if i hd to pick I'd say The Sixth Sense, then Unbreakable, then Signs. Signs was way too cheezy. It was alright the first time but if you watch it again it's just rediculous.

TheVillage was alright, but a waste to purchase. Once you see it there is no point watching it twice.

Instead of voting for "my favourite", I voted for "the only one you've ever seen".

So add one to Sixth Sense.

4 great movies? More like 2 really good ones and 2 really bad ones.
Mr Shamalamalakum better get a new bag, we've seen all the tricks he's got in store for us in the thriller suspense genre.
I voted for Unbreakable, you should really see Unbreakable and Sixth Sense, the other 2 aren't even worth a rent. Signs and Village were insultingly rediculous and trite.

I voted for "Unbreakable", simply because the end to that movie got the strongest reaction from me out of all of them. I walked away from that one goin "omg wtf?!?!"

No offense but M. Night is really a one trick pony. 6th Sense is brilliant....clever...and actually shows he can make a physically and visually attractive movie. The pacing is correct....the story is told in such a way in which the audience should not get bored no matter if they know the ending or not (i saw it 3 times in the theater and enjoyed it everytime). The beauty of 6th Sense is that you can watch it tons of times trying to figure out the exact momment when you should have realized the plot twist. As far as Unbreakable the pacing is messed up. Its a 2+ hour movie that should have been 90 minutes....Signs was a a decent knock off of War of the Worlds....the Village is just a glorified outer limits and is a total stink fest....in fact i think i have seen an outer limits or twilight zone that was the village.

Anyway M. Night needs to step away from suspense and move on to something else before he gets firmly cemented into the catagory of producing one FANTASTIC film and then medicore films the rest of his career. He also needs to stop acting in his movies. Yes i know hitchcock did but atleast you had to look for Hitch and he never spoke which made his cameo's that much better. FYI he has a movie before 6th Sense...can't remember the name but if you like his work you should pick it up and watch it. Also his next movie is going to be Life of Pi or atleast he is developing it or something i know he is attatched to it in some way shape or form. Finally if you like the kind of movies M Night does but without the sci fi element to them watch some of Alfred Hitchocks old films like Strangers on a Train(one of the most brilliant and longest scene without a cut i have ever seen truly a master piece), Vertigo (kinda hard to sit through), Rear Window, Dial M for murder, Notorious, and To Catch a Theif.
