Never played HL  
well the first level is really not that hard....actually it is probably the simplest, maybe you should turn it on easy, as long as you take your time it should not be to hard

if you restart the scene cuz u get knocked out and the screen turns white, ur not dead. its part of the scripted scene, just let it play for like 5 seconds.

is on easy.... Yes, I know I suck, I don't really care, long as I have NS I am happy... but I do want to make it further in game lol... I mean... I don't even have a weapon yet lol

must be... I seen other people playing with me... and they talked!
this one, named barney..he led me to some bloody room, then people in the courtyard tell me to not draw attention to em, and people in rooms, I threw the milk can at the guy drinking at kitchen table, and he told me to "hey, knock that off!" lol

personally i think hl1 was harder than hl2. but thats just me. the two last bosses pissed me off greatly (the spider dude was just annoying and i had a glitch in there where he wouldnt run down the hall no matter how many times i hit him, and the last boss i wasted all my ammo on him the first time instead of the spires so when i had nothing i would just jump at him with my crowbar) but i think hl1 took more hand eye skill trying to jump and move everywhere while hl2 was more point and shot skillz

this is for mikes questions about amd's.
an amd 3200+ is not 3.2 ghz but around 2.3 give or take a few.
it means although its slower its equivalent to a P4 3.2 ghz. so although it has a slower clock speed it is still faster than pentium 4.

But when I got source I just watched the end scene |
for me i ended up just going the the next nearest save point and making my way back, i think it was the point right after i got captured by the rines and had all my gear taken from me

euh... are you aware that in that scene, when you fall down the stairs, it looks like you die, but you are recued at the last second?
