I did it!!! I've completed HL yesterday!!!

You could say that this is not really special but it wasn't HL2, it was HL1. (OMG, I'm a shame for this community).

I've played a little bit a few years ago when I bought it but it was mainly to be able to play DOD with my friends (all the lab rats member). When I changed my comps, I've lost all my saved game and I didn't want after that to restart from the begining! Consequently, I haven't play HL1 after that, so I've never seen how that game was ending!

I wanted to see how it was ending before buying HL2 so I had to kick myself in the butt to do it!!!!

Considering the fact that it is a quite old game, I really enjoyed it...! The big fat floating baby a the end is really cool!!!!

Can wait now to play HL2!!!

Considering what happen with HL1, I should end HL2 around 2050!!!

Think that i'll change my video card first... (I have a NVidia 5200 running on a AMD 3200+)...

What do U think???

Well, I would think that it would run on the 5200 if you tweak the settings way down. I would suggest trying it before getting a new card but be prepared to get one if you find the game is slow and unresponsive.

Good job!

And I think 3200 means 3200 MHz or 3.2 GHz.

Technically, I haven't beat it either, the final cut-scene wouldn't play on my pirated copy and I have not felt the need to go back and play the end again with my legitimate.

I bought the first half life in 1999. I beat the first half life in 2 weeks on easy, it was the very first First Person Shooter I ever played, and still remains my favorite game ever.

Since then I have beaten Half Life a total of 34 times(once on easy, twice in medium, and 31 times on hard), I have discovered every secret, killed every monster, scientist, and box in every way imaginable, and seen some pretty hilarious graphics glitches in the process.

I am the Half Life guru

Oh yeah and I beat Half Life 2 in 24 hours on hard, when i first got it

I have never played, much less beaten HL1.
I own HL2, but have only gotten as far as the first level... where you need to run along the roof.... but I die... so.... I then give up in disgust at myself, only to try again a week later.... where I die another 10 times, give up, repeat. doesn't help that I am playing it at 4am.
