Anyone use trillian, and if so, how ya like the new 3.0 version.

So far pretty good, but file transfers thru msn seem screwy.

I've used trillian for ages, but I haven't upgraded in a while - probably won't bother either - does the job just fine for me.

You need to trash trillian.. I suxors Big time. It lacks all the nice features of the new MSN Beta..

One thing I do remember a while back is that everybody was telling me there was quite a delay when I typed anything. But hey, if its working fine for you, why bother switching.

Heres the link to the new 7.0
I hear the fixed file xfers in it to.
Its Hella cool.

I've got it on the computer back in IA. It took me a bit to get used to all the changes and to setup my accounts again. Not a big fan of some of the extras(My mail accounts "window" and other additional "windows"), although I do like how they can be disabled.

Another feature I don't particularly like is how every IM window I start is docked within another window for each specific type of IM device (AIM, ICQ, etc.). It causes the text boxes to be far too small, to the point of where I can only read one or two lines, not the usual 7 or so that I'm used to. I also haven't found a skin that I actually like.

All and all, nothing to cause me to upgrade from the older version I have on my Chicago computer. Maybe at a later date when the quality of the skins improves and I find one that actually looks good, but otherwise, nah.

some of your complaints are fixed in 3.0 trillian

mult boxes are now tab browsing of chats, so you dont have piles along the bottom.

has vid chat

Trillian can be setup to auto connect to everything, i never have to click to connect. I launch it, and everything is connected.

3.0 is quite the change from the old style. Anyhow, i know i know, some hate change. Makes me wonder how many of ya are using windows 98 :O

I should add also, you can do a short term test of the 3.0 Pro version for free. Its actually pretty cool with the different plugins you can use.

Weather in different locations, email accts, etc etc.
