A little scroogish (that a word?) but the kids will know better next time. Having a twin brother myself yeah, we fought a lot, we still do, never got x-mas presents taken away though. On another note, somewhere in the article it said they were low income i think. Maybe if they spent less on presents they woulnd't be "low income" $700 of video games, a bike, fishtank and kereoke machine, and that's just for the kids. _________________

There's nothing like rubbing the kids nose in it and showing them what they just pissed away by misbehaving. Whether or not I/We agree with it I'm sure this decision was not easy to come to. _________________

ya sounds like they're pretty spoiled. i dont see why they just dont bring it back to the store instead of selling it on ebay for less _________________ R.I.P. Blue |

I think the whole family is getting punished there, not just the kids. And now they have nothing to lose, so what's going to stop them now? They shouldn't have let it get to that level in the first place.... _________________

well, the dad posting this has been buying selling little girl's clothing, and bought at least one of those DS's off of ebay (for 192ish) so he can't exactly take it back to the "store".... also, if you were doing this to your kids, would you contact the media? just thought this was interesting... hm. yup, def. unique _________________

I do a lot of buying, and selling on Ebay, and I am disgusted by the way people use Ebay to play on others emotions, et cetera. Like, all the sentimental stories, and schemes, wacky reasons, etc that they use to sell things. The more outrageous, the more publicity people get, and the more money they make.
I doubt this has anything to do with the kids... or maybe it did (but why the hell wouldnt they just return them to the store???? because the parents want MORE MONEY). Thats what the world is about. It disgusts me.
And yeah.. seriously... what kind of "extremely low income" family can afford that for christmas????? My parents were well off, and I never got anything that cost that much for christmas. The article, and auction combined, make me totally think more and more this was a scheme to get higher bids. _________________ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ |

Lhiannan is probably right. it could have also been real then they figured they could make money off it too.

LOL thats hilarious, those kids should have been damned happy that I wasn't their father. I woulda just whooped their ass and that would have been the end of it. You have to foster some sort of respect with your children, or else all hell breaks loose (trust me i know, i've seen it ) and nobody listens. _________________
