I have Mozilla 1.7 and have no issue's I have the sp2 update running XP Pro and running smooth as could be. On my lap anyway. My desktop is dead MB is fried.

what i have noticed is that "tab" window performance has slowed down a bit, but individual firefox instances run just fine. i'm not sure why that's the case, but oh well. still better than IE.

First it was runnin slow, downloaded updated Firefox, still ran slow, system crashed at exactly nine last night, I do a system restore and the comp is all back to normal.

I found something interesting about the Catalyst drivers. You need to have Microsoft .net installed for them to function correctly. Maybe I should pay more attention to the readme's .

Yeah, i've also notive that i can't have active desktop anymore, so no webpages on it, or gif animations or tv.org on it

i r t3h sad.

Dude something is broke on your machine. You can still have Active Desktop with .bmp .jpg .gif .htm or whatever.

Not sure why yours isn't working but trust me you can still have it.
