Well, it doesn't have anything to do with soccer, but a roommate once contacted some bed wetter's anonymous group about me, as a joke. So, these people are really aggressive about "trying to help you face your problem". They called me up, and I explained that I wasn't a bed wetter. But denying it, just makes them start talking about denial! I swear, I could not get this guy off the phone! He just kept trying to get me to admit that I had this problem. I mean, hey, I've got plenty of problems, but thankfully, this isn't one of them.
Finally, I was able to convince him that someone had given them my name as a misguided practical joke and I was very sorry about it. He was one unhappy former bed wetter, let me tell you.
All of this just made my roommate happier, of course. |

I played defense for my highschool soccer team. I was a slide-tacklin fool, with scars on both hips to show for it. My junior year I twisted my ankle pretty bad with some internal bleeding into my foot, then after about a week I went back to playing on it. Two months later my ankle was getting worse, so I went to a doctor, who informed me that I had been playing on a broken ankle for almost two months. The result was nerve damage, physical therapy, and a reputation as a tough SOB (which I'm not, it just didn't hurt that bad so I did the stupid thing and played) |
