| go back to the doc and tell him it hurts so bad and the painkillers he gave you arent helping. he shouldnt have any problem giving you something stronger. not that you need the stronger stuff, just that its good and fun to have. when i had mine pulled i was popping pills like a madman. not so much for the pain, just to make school go by faster. |

tsk tsk jfet..
anywayz, for the future knowledge of anyone who gets a tooth or teeth pulled, I got this from work:
1. Don't rinse mouth for 48 hours.
2. Keep fingers and tongue away from socket.
3. Bleeding, some bleeding following tooth extractions is to be expected. If unusual, place a sterile pad firmly over the site of extraction and bite down or hold in place with pressure for an hour, if it persists for 2 hours or longer, call your dentist, and avoid hot liquids.
4. Swelling, Use plastic bag or towel filled with ice against affected are for 5 minutes on and 10 minutes off for one hour. Swelling may start after the tooth has been removed, but it is no cause for alarm.
5. Food, Soft diet is advisable during the first 24 hours, drink only cold liquids and no straws!
6. Rinse 3 days after extraction with 1/2 teaspoon of table salt in an 8 ounce glass of very warm water after meals. Repeat for 2-3 days.
7. Bony edges, generally break away or work themselves out.
8. NO SMOKING. Smoking is not allowed for 3-5 days (might cause dry socket).
9. Antibiotics, take the full amount of medication, even if symptoms disappear.
10. In case of unusual symptoms, call your dentist _________________

One word: Percodan
Actually, my 4 WT were impacted sideways, so I had em out at the same time (thank you sodium penathol). They were some soreness, but that went away soon. What stayed with me was the percetion of my lower jaw being pried wide open, as if they had to use pliers to get them out, and the feeling that the remaining teeth would move sideways since there was "nothing" to hold them in place. All were feelings, as nothing bad happened since. gone were the headaches, etc. that I lived with for too long. _________________ Your suffering will be legendary, even in hell.

go, or your tartar will build up and get under your gums and you will need periodontal scaling. nasty to watch that. basically, dentist will lift your gums away from your teeth, use a knife to cut out the diseased parts, and put your gums back down. very very nasty. yuck. go for cleanings!! _________________

lol, you don't know me well apparently I love my big words, just normally don't use here cuz I would feel weird kind of a stress reliever so I try to picture it as such for others and try not to hurt feeble heads like yours speaker or chief with big words (you two know me well enough not to take me seriously, at least I hope so ) _________________
