Damn dentists and their 'preventative medicine'. I had a decaying upper right wisdom tooth, so had to get them ALL pulled since they were gonna be in there anyway. Had that done about 4ish hours ago. The general anesthetic they gave me wore off about an hour after surgery, but man i'm glad i had it. I don't remember much about the surgery itself, except that they were usin some kind of saw that kinda hurt, so they shot me more local. My face is so numb atm with all the shit they shot me full of. I'm drooling blood like crazy, and i'm just now starting to feel some soreness Anyone got tips that have had theirs pulled out? _________________ "They that can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety" -Ben Franklin

Depending on how bad it was, the pain should be gone in a day or two. Just eat yummy soft foods like Milkshakes and Mash Potatoes. Be glad that you got them all out now, its worse if you wait too long. Then they start crowding in and missing up you alignment of your teeth. That leads to braces. |

dentists are evil, I agree. I work for one
Yeah, don't chew back there for at least a day, no straws, drink only cold stuff, no hot and spicy foods, soft foods, and don't chew there, i know, that is twice, but if you do, and food particles get under your gums, you will prob get an infection. _________________

Well, it's been about 6 hours since the operation was completed, and i still have complete numbness in my lower mouth (jaw), cheeks, and tongue. Is this normal? I'm startin to freak out =/ _________________ "They that can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety" -Ben Franklin

got mine out almost a year ago exactly... last august 20th i think or somewhere around that. I got all 4 out at once and don't even remember the first 6-8 hours afterwards because i slept between being tired and being drugged. my brother was nice and put the frozen veggies on my face. everything i ate later that day tasted like blood... I did have a friend that got a dry socket and she said it sucked. _________________ |
